Ostenil Plus Injections
Ostenil can help with a reduction in pain and improvement in function of any given peripheral synovial joint, such as the Knee, Shoulder, ankle, and smaller joints such as the wrist fingers and toes.
Ostenil Plus is a solution containing hyaluronic acid developed specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. It can be injected into the knee, or any of the other synovial joints in the body to decrease pain and stiffness and improve the other symptoms of osteoarthritis.
It contains a higher concentration of sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) than standard Ostenil, plus mannitol. This medication is injected into the space between the joint that contains synovial fluid and works to restore the balance between the breakdown and production of hyaluronic acid. This effect means Ostenil Plus can help decrease pain and stiffness of the joint.
Ostenil Plus should be injected directly into the joint(s) affected by osteoarthritis by a fully qualified clinician. It is unlikely you will notice any benefits straight away, but you should gradually begin to feel a reduction in pain and stiffness over the following few weeks, which is likely to continue for several months.

Ostenil Tendon Injections
A tendon is a strong structure of fibrous connective tissue designed to transmit forces from muscle to bone and resist load during muscle contraction. Overuse or inappropriate biomechanical stress may cause inflammation and/or degenerative changes of the tendon, leading to pain and loss of function. Lubricating the tendon could reduce pain, improve tendon function and reduce the potential for adhesions. Hyaluronic acid can promote tendon gliding and the physiological repair process. In addition, due to its macromolecular meshwork, hyaluronic acid reduces the free passage of inflammatory cells and molecules. Clinical trials showed a pain decrease and improvement in mobility up to twelve months.
OSTENIL® TENDON also contains mannitol, a free radical scavenger, which helps to stabilise the chains of sodium hyaluronate.

CINGAL injections (steroid)
Specific for Osteoarthritis of the knee joint, this can help with a reduction in pain and improvement in function.
CINGAL® Rapid OA pain relief injection therapy. Fast-acting steroid formulated with a protective hyaluronic acid. A medical device that delivers the benefits of both components without the associated concerns with steroid alone.
CINGAL works by combining a fast-acting steroid with a long-lasting viscosupplement in one simple, convenient injection that does not require a medicinal prescription.
